CHOOSING A SIDE
Today's reading: Nahum

"The Lord is good. When trouble comes, he is a strong refuge. And he knows everyone who trusts in him. But he sweeps away his enemies in an overwhelming flood. He pursues his foes into the darkness of night." Nahum 1:7-8 NLT

Whether you realize it or not, you are choosing a side with every single choice you make.

Will God be your leader, guide and refuge?

Or will you choose yourself, your abilities and your preferences--and in turn choose to be an enemy of the One who can help you most? 

We cannot do both. We cannot straddle the fence. We cannot attempt to swing back and forth between options. We cannot trust and fret at the same time.

We will either be His--or be His enemy.
