THE NIGHT SKY
Today's reading: Genesis 12-15
"Then the Lord brought Abram outside beneath the night sky and told him, Look up into the heavens and count the stars if you can. Your descendants will be like that--too many to count! And Abram believed the Lord, and the Lord declared him righteous because of his faith." Genesis 15:5-6 NLT
I urge you to sit out under the stars.
No matter where you live.
No matter how old you are.
Despite the temperatures.
In spite of your already busy schedule.
Just take a few minutes, away from the light pollution of our towns and cities, and sit under the stars.
It's good for the mind.
It's good for the spirit.
It's good for your faith.
You see, when you 'turn the lights off' on everything else, and pause for a performance by God himself, you will be amazed.
It will deepen your trust.
It will calm your fears.
It will slow you to a pace that allows you to hear and see your Creator.
